Giving Options
There are many meaningful ways to support Camp Sunshine beyond traditional cash gifts or wish list donations.
Qualified Charitable Distribution: You can make a lasting impact by donating appreciated assets, such as stocks or mutual funds that have increased in value, or by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. These types of gifts can offer significant tax advantages, allowing you to avoid capital gains taxes while receiving a charitable deduction for the full value of your contribution. Endowment Funds: Endowment funds are a special way to support Camp Sunshine - the principal funds remain intact, while a percentage of the income is distributed to the benefitting organization. Camp Sunshine Endowment Funds are located at the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area and the Grand Haven Community Foundation.
