Adventure Day

Join us on Saturday, August 1 for a day of excitement, inclusion, and outdoor fun. We’ll be enjoying the beauty of Michigan at the Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park!

 

Activities include:

🛷 Adaptive Luge with wheels

⚡ Adaptive Zip Line

🥾 Universally Accessible Hike

Adventure Day is designed for everyone to experience the thrill of the outdoors. End the day with a campfire celebration and new friendships!

Harvesting Sunshine

Volunteer and Counselor Details
  • The time frame for counselors to commit to is 9am-6pm.
  • ​We are inviting both counselors and the Camp Sunshine Leadership to sign up as a counselor and be paired 1:1 with a camper! 
  • Bring a friend! If you know someone who would be a great Camp Sunshine counselor, invite them to join us! This fun, one-day event is a great introduction to Camp Sunshine!

We love to celebrate the Sunshine spirit at our fall day camp. Join us at Camp Henry in Newaygo for an incredible day with the Sunshine community!

Harvesting Sunshine is a typical “day at camp,” but with a harvest season twist! We’ll enjoy activities like Creative Expressions, horse experiences, a chance to try the Big Swing, and more! Lunch and dinner is served, along with snacks! 

Registration for campers and counselors is open now!

Camper details
  • Registration is open now and filling quickly! You can sign up to be part of this event by clicking on the link above and logging into your Camp Doc account.
  • Camper check in is at 10am, and camper pickup is at 6pm.
  • The cost to attend this event is $150. Respite funds with contracted counties may be used to pay for this event. Payment or respite authorization is due by October 1.
  • New campers will need to fill out the application and submit references by Sept 23 as the first step. After review, they will then be contacted with next steps.
  • If you attended our 2026 Summer Camp sessions, your application information is saved but we still need you to register for this event and review your application for accuracy. It shouldn’t take long! PLEASE prioritize updating all medical information, medications and sign all required waivers. Returning camper applications should be complete by Sept 30.
