We are so grateful for the Camp Sunshine community and how we’ve been able to come together to celebrate, make memories and also to grieve.

Camp Sunshine also gives participants a glimpse of a world that looks very different from what they encounter online, at school, or in their everyday communities. For four days, they live in a space defined by belonging, kindness, and genuine connection, and that experience often reshapes how they see and move through the world long after camp ends.

On Thursday, September 25, the Camp Sunshine community lost a beloved member, Mark Bush. Both as a song leader and a champion, Mark was a pillar for Camp Sunshine through every season of change.

Camp Sunshine’s summer sessions wrapped up on June 30, but over the last few weeks, we’ve been reflecting on the meaningful experiences of each session.
