A year of connection, growth, and community

As 2025 winds down, we can’t say goodbye without noting a few big milestones and moments. We are so grateful for the Camp Sunshine community and how we’ve been able to come together to celebrate, make memories and also to grieve. Here’s our 2025 wrapped:
All year long we celebrated our theme of BRAVE and stepped out with a brand-new program, the Sunshine in the Snow day camp!
We leaned into one another and mourned the loss of Mark Bush, a beloved volunteer and song leader.
We strengthened our values statements, clarifying into action what we believe and how we act!

236 Campers Attended Overnight Camp, 20 First-Time Campers!
236 Counselors, Including 86 First-Time Counselors!
25 Counselors Serving 4 or More Years!

Impact that Lasts
The Camp Sunshine experience has an enduring impact for our campers and counselors, shown in the ways they return again and again. 25 of our 2025 counselors have served with us for four or more years - a testament to the lasting impact of the Camp Sunshine experience. Board member and volunteer Stacey Van Laan shared her Camp Sunshine story, which has stretched over 24 years so far! We also published two blog posts about the life-changing impacts we’ve observed and experienced for campers, their families, and our volunteers.
Cheers to 2026! From our campers to our volunteers, donors, and partners: thank you for being part of our BRAVE 2025 journey. Your support, presence, and belief in Camp Sunshine made this year possible.
Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be another exciting year. Our dates are on the calendar, and overnight camp registration opens January 7. We hope you’ll join us for what comes next.

I'm glad to hear various experiences from campers donors and volunteers. This is a life experience in one's lifetime.
